Following the success of their Equipping Leaders to Champion Diversity and Managing Intergenerational Talent events, Future Works is pleased to announce their next exciting instalment in their thought-piece series.

Leading In A Digital World will take place on Wednesday 11th September 2019 from 4.45pm – 7.00pm at Tanner’s Loft, 1886, Douglas. The event will focus on the challenges faced by a transition into the Digital Age and is designed to be interactive, exposing attendees to practical visual tools that will help people benchmark their current reality and health, and how they can invest in themselves and the people they lead.

The event will be led by international key speaker Steve Cockram, Co-Founder of GiANT Worldwide, author of The 100X Leader, and consultant to top-level executives and leaders the world over.

An experienced leader, CEO, and trusted advisor, Steve has demonstrable skills in encouraging a team and driving real results with his powerful and practical tools and methods. His leadership style is engaging and has the unique ability to make people laugh and take action.

With the landscape of Island business continuing to evolve to be more digitally focused, new challenges in leadership continue to present themselves, prompting rapid advancement in the skillsets of digital workforces.

The future of the digital world will require flexible and transferable talents such as problem-solving and cross-sector working, as more traditional functional skillsets become outdated. It’s clear that digital skills are no longer the optional extras to include on one’s CV; they’ve quickly become the basic foundations of all that we do, from the way we communicate to our consumer habits, and this is expected to shift even further.

A recent report from Workday, Inc. (an on-demand financial management software vendor) outlined that financial industry leaders haven’t advanced enough in trying to keep pace with digital transformation and that investment in people and their capabilities were required to drive their decision making through strategic insight.

The Future Works event will focus on the five most significant challenges that global leaders are facing as we transition from the late industrial to the Digital Age, with emphasis on creating a pro-growth atmosphere and how to lead yourself effectively.

Steve Cockram will inform attendees how to become a leader everyone wants to follow and how to lead organisations that everyone wants to work for, as well as understanding their internal wiring and core motivations with fresh insight and tools that will begin making a real difference immediately.

The Future Works series is brought to you by leading Recruitment Agency Search and Select and sponsored by Global Life Assurance business Zurich International, and is organised by Tromode-based performance marketing agency Bold Consultancy.

Registration is free and includes small bites and arrival drinks. Future Works encourages those within a senior leadership role to register now, as places are limited and this latest instalment is expected to be another sell-out event. You can reserve your spot by visiting the event’s Eventbrite page at futureworksim.eventbrite.com.
