Our client seeks a Client Bookkeeper/Billing Administrator to join their team.
 
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the client's financial records are fully maintained and updated, to prepare VAT returns, complete client bank reconciliations, to facilitate the production and filing annual financial statements and reports and ready for audit purposes.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that all entities have accounting ledgers set up on Viewpoint or relevant accounting system
  • Ensuring the timetable of work for all clients is kept up to date
  • Processing all purchase and sales invoices for client accounting
  • Posting bank entries either by manual entry or upload
  • Reconciling customer receipts, supplier payments and bank statements
  • Ensuring monthly journals / accruals are processed as required
  • Reviewing all ledger accounts to ensure they are ready for preparation of year-end statements
  • Preparing year-end accounts file for the accountant preparing Financial Statements
  • Engaging with client's administrators with any queries of an accounting nature
  • Preparing the timetable of activity for client VAT and tax returns and ensuring timely production of draft returns for review
  • Preparing VAT returns for review and submission
  • Preparing client bank reconciliations for review
  • Preparing aged debtor / creditor lists
  • Raising Internal Invoices
  • Draft simple financial statements
  • Completing and inputting time in the time billing system on a daily basis
  • Preparation of minutes to approve Tax returns and Financial Statements
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • Relevant qualification (e.g. CAT / AAT), or willingness to study
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in a CSP or related environment
  • Knowledge/experience of accounting software systems, e.g. Viewpoint and Xero
  • Experience of processing invoices, reconciling accounts and maintaining accounting ledger systems
  • Strong IT skills, including practical experience of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Good numerical, analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Knowledge of the relevant legislation and regulation of financial accounts being administered
