Our client seeks a Conveyancing Administrator to join their team.
Role Profile:
To assist in the smooth running of the Conveyancing Department by providing administrative and legal support. Provide administrative support if required, to the wider business.
Key responsibilities:
Research and information gathering, sharing and filing
- Responsible for the thorough, accurate and timely provision of information; shared with others either in person, by telephone or via email.
- Manage the duties of the role through a variety of computer-based systems; specifically, Microsoft products (Outlook/Word/Excel) and have a confident approach to bespoke in-house systems.
- Be the point of contact for all actions required to support the transactions of the Conveyancing Team. This may include being the initial point of receipt for legal documents and being initial contact for review of Anti-Money Laundering documents
Governance
- You will be responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of the creation, management and filing of all documentation relating to transactions.
- You will be required to protect clients' interests at all times, while taking precautions against potential fraud and money laundering.
- You will be required to work pro-actively and often without direction on the requirements of the various transactions, ensuring that the Conveyancer has everything necessary to conclude the transaction.
- To utilise the highest level of accuracy and determination to meet the required deadlines on behalf of the client and the standards of the business.
- You will understand the need for accuracy and will know when to escalate any issues to the Conveyancer.
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines
- Confident and able to self-motivate
- Attention to detail - even in the face of competing deliverables
- Excellent (accurate and swift) computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Skilled in managing conflicting priorities and managing own workload. Practiced at applying diplomacy, tact and sensitivity when dealing with others
- Possess commercial awareness, able to promote the profile of the business
- Ability to make timely and well considered decisions
Desirable
- Experience of working with case management systems
- Qualified to A level standard
- Knowledge of residential property and commercial property
- Knowledge of other areas of law
