Finance Assistant

Our client seeks a Finance Assistant to join their team.
Role Profile:
This is an essential role within the Finance Team, assisting with the preparation of financial reports, data gathering and maintenance of financial records across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing support to the Financial Reporting Manager during year end financial audits of Isle of Man, Gibraltar and Malta entities, including the preparation of audit schedules and reconciliations and gathering documentation to support these
- Assistance with the preparation of annual financial statements for internal entities
- Running monthly revaluations within the accounting system
- Processing monthly cost split allocations within the accounting system
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly profit and loss reports for single entities and consolidated groups
- Posting of journals required for audit adjustments
- Performing regular intercompany reconciliations
- Gathering data from finance systems
- Maintenance of procedure notes and process flows for all reporting tasks
- Maintenance of dimensions, codes and posting periods within the accounting system
- Responsibility for any administration required within the Financial Reporting team
Key Skills & Experience
- Must hold or be working towards a relevant accountancy qualification (CAT, Bookkeeper, Part Qualified Accountant) and have a good understanding of basic accountancy principles such as double entry bookkeeping and preparation of trial balances
- Experience within a finance-based role
- Experience of Microsoft Navision or other similar accounting packages
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Be a team player
- Adaptable to working in a changing environment
