Group Compliance Officer

Our client seeks a Group Compliance Officer to join their team.
 
You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Company remains compliant with their respective legal and regulatory obligations and accountabilities on a continuing basis. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues in various teams to provide consistent, ongoing support and guidance with specific focus on regulatory compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Actively contribute to the day-to-day activities of the Compliance Team.
  • Assist with and deliver a customer centric Compliance Assurance Programme by conducting regular and ad-hoc compliance assurance monitoring.
  • Analyse the results of compliance assurance monitoring testing, identify and recommend areas for improvement required to internal controls and processes, and produce reports.
  • Manage and assist the business in the identification, recording, investigation, and resolution of compliance related breaches.
  • Proactively promote and support a positive compliance culture across the Group and assist with the preparation and delivery of Compliance training.
  • Assist in maintaining the Group Compliance Calendar and ensuring reporting and submissions are timely and effective.
  • Review and sign off of sales literature / communications.
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • Experience within a Compliance function, preferably within a regulated financial services company in the insurance industry.
  • Relevant Compliance qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience of compliance monitoring and/or control testing with an ability to demonstrate strong research, investigation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong investigative skills and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to understand, assess and effectively communicate the impact of changes and developments in the local and international regulatory environment.
  • Ability to effectively deliver compliance related training to a wide range of employees.
  • Competent in Microsoft applications: including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and knowledge of SharePoint.
  • A willingness to share knowledge and expertise in compliance tools and techniques.
