Our clients seek an NPD Compliance Manager to join their team  
   
Role Profile: The NPD Compliance Manager reports directly to the Director of Engineering Risk & Compliance.  
Responsible for auditing projects and facilitating the use of quality tools which follow the NPD process to ensure these projects are successful.  
   
Key Responsibilities:
  • DFMEA, PFMEA & Product Risk Assessments
  • Facilitate and guide the team through the FMEA process, ensuring that all necessary aspects are covered, encourage participation from all team members to ensure diverse perspectives are considered. Track and follow up on action items assigned to team members.
  • Report FMEA quality status and non-conformities in the Engineering Management Meetings.
  • Control plans
  • Update Critical Characteristics (CCs) and Significant Characteristics (SCs) identified in the FMEA onto the preliminary Control Plan. Review of NPD drawing changes (pre & post ECN)
  • QM's
  • Ensure QM and Open Issues are captured in FMEA updates. For example requirements are traceably linked into FMEA's.
  • NPD (New Product Development).
  • Auditing of current NPD projects for content and robustness.
  • SME (Subject Matter Expert)
  • FMEA, RCA , 6S and other advanced quality tools, develop training materials, carry-out training and assist in projects where required.
  • Contribute where needed/planned to general quality management activities (data capability analysis, calibration, GR&R, etc.).
  • Carry-out environmental impacts evaluation and review of the BOM.
  • Internal audits.
  • Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015.
  • Test Laboratory BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 protocols.
  • Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015.
  • H&S Risk Assessments: Based on ISO 45001:2018, HSE and HSWA.
  • Energy Management System ISO 50001:2018.
 
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Engineering or equivalent educational background including formal certification in a quality related subject.
  • 5 years' experience (minimum) in the manufacturing quality environment with good system quality management experience.
  • Proactive engagement with project teams to drive improvement.
  • Proven capability in facilitating FMEA'S, RCA, 6S & quality tools.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth audits & risk assessments, look at each problem from the consumers prospective.
  • Lead teams to complete actions to reduce risks or improve quality and chase progress (like a project manager).
  • Ability to demonstrate clear risk based logic.
  • Extensive understanding of current ISO standards.
  • Certified/trained ISO auditing and certified/trained risk assessor.
  • Acts at all times in accordance with best practice, legislation and company policies and procedures
