Our client seeks a Trainee Company Secretary to join their team.
Role Profile:  Responsible for providing professional administrative support in the day-to-day company secretarial duties for the group along.  The role is to ensure that service levels are met at all times but in a manner that is consistent with relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing record keeping for the Group
  • Assisting with the preparation and circulation of papers for Board, and shareholder meetings.
  • Assisting with minute taking.
  • Assisting with diary management for board meetings.
  • Supporting the Company Secretary in any research or project related work.
  • Assisting the Company Secretary in developing and implementing appropriate corporate governance policies and procedures for the Group
  • Working with the Compliance Department, to assist with the Group's compliance with the AML/CFT Rules, Companies Act and regulatory/license conditions.
  • Assisting with any CDD enquiries for the group
  • Assisting with the maintenance and administration of the client's statutory records.
  • Assisting with management of the client's internal corporate governance record keeping.
  • Assisting with the drafting of minutes for Board, Committee and Shareholder meetings.
  • Collation / preparation and circulation of papers for Board, Committee and Shareholder meetings.
  • Assisting the Company Secretary in developing and implementing any corporate governance policies and procedures for the client.
  • Assisting the client with their compliance with the AML/CFT Rules, Companies Act, Collective Investment Schemes Regulations and FSA license conditions.
  • Diary management for client meetings.
  • Assisting with any CDD enquiries for the client
 
Key Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a CSP or fund administration environment is required
  • A basic understanding of Corporate Governance practices.
  • Competent IT skills in excel, word and Outlook and relevant statutory related computer applications
  • Able to work under pressure, with the ability to manage own workload within specific timing deadlines.
  • Ability to learn, develop and adapt in an evolving working environment with changing demands and priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with board members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and high attention to detail in work.
